WiseCrunch Free Premium Wordress Themes Collection

31 July 2008 1,200 views 4 Comments

Like any bloggers did when they started their blogs whether its a self-hosted blog or from the famous blogging platforms such as Bogger and Wordpres. All are common on one thing… spending more time searching for that “Mr. Right”… I mean, “Right Blog Theme”.

Though this is not the first time I’ve created a blog, I always find it difficult to find the satisfaction when it comes to what theme should I use.

Let me share with you some of the Wordpress themes that were I’d say became part of my ultimate quest to find the perfect theme for WiseCrunch.

Hamasaki Theme by Jauhari

This is a nice theme especially if you want your blog to be more of like a magazine style blog. I had this as my first choice actually but there is only one problem… it’s not working properly when viewed in IE (Haaay… Sayang). Anyway, I’ve already notified Jauhari about it, hope he’d fix it.

Timeline Digest by Richie

I found this one first from Hamasaki. It’s also a nice looking theme. Again, great for a magazine style blog. If you ask me why I did not use this? Honestly, I don’t know. It’s just I feel this is not the one I am looking for.

Zoxengen by Richie

This one is a plus! What I love the most about this theme is the Featured Article at the top-right side. It’s kinda cool to see a slide show of your posts.

Wynton Magazine Theme by Der Prinz

If you are really serious of creating a magazine style blog, well heres one you should include in your list. Very neat and has lots of functionality fitted for a magazine website.

Revolution Blog by Brian Gardner

I’ve already known this theme few months ago but didn’t actually gave enough attention to it until now. As you can see, this is the one I am using for WiseCrunch. You may find it simple but with some modifications and some tricks, I am starting to transform this like the other themes above. The great challenge for me now is how to add the “Featured Article” slide show from the Zoxengen to this theme. I’m not great on PHP but with some trial and error, I might succeed.
