My First Google Adsense Payment Arrived

6 August 2008 926 views 18 Comments

Last night, I was surprised to see that Google has already sent my $101.93 or P4,503.76 worth of Adsense earnings via Western Union Quick Cash. The payment was approved on July 24th and is available to withdraw at any Western Union branches the day after.

1st Adsense PaymentThis afternoon I rushed at the nearest Western Union branch in our area to get the money. I’m very much excited because this is my first payment from Google Adsense. It took me months to reach the minimum payout of $100 but the waiting is all worthwhile. And also a good thing, I never stopped using Adsense as another way to monetize my blogging.

It was last year when I got accepted at Google Adsense. The first time I applied for it, I got rejected because my blog called “Get Paid Online Guide” promotes GPT programs which is a no… no… for them.

That didn’t dragged me down. I opened up another blog but this time the blog talks about homemade products which I called “HomeMade Style“. It was then that my application got accepted.

On an average, HomeMade Style generates only 2 to 5 clicks per day. That’s approximately $0.50 - $1.00 per day. A lucky day for me if I get to earn more than that. All this despite the fact that I never optimized the blog for SEO. I never even spent so much time to increase the traffic. I just relied on the traffic coming from search engines.

Now, the task for me is to earn more from what I received today from Adsense and earn it in a shorter period of time. Some bloggers earn hundreds even thousands from Google Adsense alone.

… if they have done it…. then I can do it.
