My Own Dream House Is Coming Soon!

5 June 2009 786 views 9 Comments

I was not able to talk about this earlier but on May 30, 2009, I finally managed to reserve a brand new house and lot at Sta. Elena Village 1 in Antipolo City.

I’m so excited and I just can’t hide it
I’m about to lose control and I think I like it
I’m so excited and I just can’t hide it
And I know I know I know I know I know…

(Am I singing na? Hehehe…)

Anyway, back to my sanity.

The house costs me P10,000 to reserve. It’s a 2 storey townhouse with 3 bedrooms and 1 toilet/bath. The house has a total lot area of 40 sqm and floor area of 54.60 sqm.

(These are the townhouses looks like. My unit will be in the middle.)

Other features includes:

Exterior House Finish - Pre-painted roofing, steel casement window, painted exterior wall.

Interior Finishes - Ground floor: kitchen counter, wooden stairs, painted walls (first coating), ceramic tile on 1st floor, Second floor: with ceiling, steel casement windows.

Total contract price for the unit is P 806,752.20 thru Pagibig. There is an equity of P 96,752.00 payable in 15 months. It’s a bit heavy on my salary but I think it’s still manageable. (I’m not going to take lunch breaks for 15 months (joke lang!))

Monthly amortization is P 5,194.98 for 25 years. (Whew!)

It’s a good thing that I am earning some money with my blogs. I can use it to help me finance the house when needed.

One of the major factors why I took the unit is that it’s the most affordable considering that Antipolo is a city. Plus, the location is the nearest to where I work. It is only 45 mins ride to Makati City which I think is the nearest compared to other villages and subdivisions outside Metro Manila. It is also only a 30 minutes ride to Ortigas.

The house is not yet being built. Construction will only commence 3 months before the equity is fully paid. So… I will have to wait until around September or October 2010 for me to touch, feel, and occupy the house I can really call my own.
