Cool New Gadgets To Buy In 2010

13 January 2010 405 views One Comment

I am a gadget lover (though I don’t have much money to buy some… Hehehe) and one of the things I look forward to whenever the year changes are the cool new gadgets that will hit the market.

Today, as I was surfing the net (as usual). I was able to find out some of the most coolest and innovative gadgets that will surely push your pocket to its limit.

1. Transparent Laptop

We always see transparent computer screens being used on sci-fi movies nowadays. And now you too can get it yourself. Lately, Samsung astounded the world when it showed off its 14″ transparent laptop with AMOLED screen. The prototype represents the highest resolution on the largest screen with the highest transparency currently in development.

I personally love this one.

2. HP Slate

Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer recently introduced to the public the new HP Slate, the portable tablet PC developed by Hewlett-Packard. The device is running Windows. It uses multitouch, and can do some gaming.

3. Mobile DTV

With portable mobile DTV devices, consumers can see videos, movies, sporting events, entertainment programs, traffic info, local news, weather updates, and many more using their existing mobile devices such as mobile phones, laptops, media players, GPS devices, etc.

4. Hydrofill

The age of fuel cell technology is coming closer and closer to the public with the release of Horizon Hydrofill.

Hydrofill is a “personal hydrogen station” capable of converting water into hydrogen gas, which then can be used to recharge your batteries.

5. Zomm

If you always misplace your mobile phone, then this gadget will be a best buy for you. Zomm is a small gadget that can be connected with your mobile phone in a wireless way via Bluetooth. After the connection is established, you can activate an alarm every time you forget where your mobile phone is.

6. 3D TVs

It’s quite amazing that new breed of television sets like the 3D TVs are coming out. With them, users will be able to watch TV shows and movies in 3D format by using some necessary eyeglasses.

7. 4G Phones

The real download speed of most 3G phones is not more than 384 Kbps, and sometimes a lot less. 4G phones on the other hand promise data transfers of 100 Mbps, and could reach up to 1 Gigabit per second when static. That could mean downloading a full length DVD movie in about a minute.

8. Canova Dual Touch-Screen Laptop

An Italian company named V12 has developed a new version of the “Canova” which is a dual LCD laptop. Both screens are touch activated with a mic for voice command. Neat huh!

9. Project Natal

Microsoft tries to rival Wii by releasing Project Natal. An add-on to the existing Xbox 360 console, the motion-sensing gaming system for the Xbox promises to free users from the limitations of the controller, as cameras interpret body movements to let users play the games.

10. Wireless Charger

In 2009, Powermat showed off a mat that charged gadgets that were placed on top of it. This year, Powermat took that a step further by unveiling the Powerpack, a battery that replaces the one that comes with your cell phone and lets you charge your handset by placing it on the mat — no other attachments needed.

Okay, I like the Hydrofill concept. Can’t wait for the day we put water in our cars or simply dip our mobiles into the washing basin and it’s done… power on ‘-)
But wait… the one I’d really wann’a pick up is this: Zomm.
Dude, I can’t even recall the number of times I misplaced my car keys!
